Micro-dermabrasian Paste

I was recently given a sample of this stuff made by Rodan + Fields. Since I love micro-dermabrasion I decided to give it a try. As I’ve posted before, microderm is a great treatment when you want a quick refresher, or when your skin starts to look a little dull. If you are subject to red skin, you might not want to get it just an hour before a night out, but you could do it that morning. Being a redhead, you would think my skin is highly sensitive, but it is not. I love doing this treatment just hours before going out. And now, with a paste, I can!

First of all, you apply this to dry skin and rub for 30-60 seconds. I could feel this stuff working in the same way those microderm machines work. Once I rinsed it off, I had some redness (typical) but within 20-30 minutes my skin was glowing. I’ve been trying to really analyze what is better, the paste or the professional treatment. With the professional treatment, it lasts a lot longer and the aesthetician has a tendency to go over troubled spots a few times.

Next time I will take the paste off with my Clarisonic brush and see what kind of results that brings. Overall, I’m thrilled with this product and plan to buy a jar. $77 vs. $110+ for the professional treatment.

On the Clarisonic, you can buy the expensive one, or the cheaper one found in drugstores. I’ve never used the cheap one and don’t know how well it works. This one goes for $199, more or less. You can also get one for under $30.
